Additional S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky Information

Go back one year from the events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. In Clear Sky, a group of stalkers has reached the heart of the Zone - Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. An immense blowout of anomalous energy changes the Zone. There are no more reliable and relatively safe roads. Entire levels vanish in the outbursts of anomalies. Stalkers and even expeditions die or end up sealed on the lost territories. New areas, which remained unknown since the time of the Zone emergence, appear on the Zone map. Changes of the Zone map known to stalkers shake the fragile balance of forces in the Zone. Among the groupings, there flare up hostilities for the new territories, artifact fields and spheres of influence. Everyone is now out for himself. You are a mercenary who appeared at the edge of the opposition between stalker factions, Strelok and the Zone itself. You play the key role in the events that led to creation of the Zone up to the point from which the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game begins. Which faction will take the upper hand? What Customers Say About S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky:

I liked it a lot but it was pretty buggy for me and not very smooth. This game was my introduction to Stalker. At $10 I'm not going to complain too much though and liked it enough to get CoP which I love.

not the best STALKER game, but some nice features. Look online for mods after you have played it to make improvements if you like.

It took me a while to find the right patch and updates , which sucks because they won't even tell you all this in the game booklet. It's kind of a hassle to start this game up. Game alone is awesome though , i love it.Nothing beats walking around Chernobyl killing mutants, zombies and drinking vodka :))

You were around in the 80's and remember the Cold War.3). The biggest selling point is the immersion, which is laid on thick. You think Call of Duty is the best game ever.2). You get angry if a game crashes ever.4). The world is very open, and the order you do things is rarely forced on you. 6).

4). You leap at the chance to play a game that tries new ways to do things. You enjoy more realistic gunplay. If you are on the fence on whether to buy it, here are some tips that I hope help. You think regenerating health bars are necessary to enjoy a game.3). You need games to hold your hand and tell you how to jump.5).

(Fallout 3 sucks by the way)This game will waste no time throwing you into the thick of things, and you will likely die a lot at first. You like challenging and engrossing games.2). But as you get the hang of it you'll find it pretty damn awesome. You think this is going to be anything like Fallout 3, it's NOT. I think Zero Punctuation's review was pretty spot on. 5).

Get this game if:1). Meaning, one or two bullets will kill you and you can bleed out. You don't mind doing a little legwork to get things working right, and you have an ample machine to run it.Don't bother if:1). And it's only like 10 bucks these days so go for it. [.].I personally played from beginning to end with no crashes after I patched. If you haven't played the first one, you should as a lot of the stuff in this bad boy will make more sense.

No regenerating health bars here. You can't be bothered to read information that you pick up on your journey.

gear, ammo, mods/upgrades of equipment) management, and stealth. If you are in the dark with no flashlight on I have actually had enemies run into me and keep going, never noticing I was there.

The game will crash frequently without the patches but after patching to the latest (as of this review) I have only had a single crash and I am pretty far through the game, nearly done.If it weren't for so many bugs I would have given this game 5/5 stars. Everyone hates enemy AI which causes them to shoot you as soon as they have line of sight, even if it's in pith blackness or through brush and cover.NOTE: if you path the game saved game files don't work any more, so patch before you start playing.Save often, there are plenty of ways to die.Visually this game is one of the best I have seen.

Of course when I shot them they all opened up on me but the realism was refreshing. Wondering through the red forest with mutants and radiation and anomalies in the dark is pretty creepy.

The game has what is for me, the perfect mix of getting to shoot stuff, resource (i.e. I really enjoy the fact that enemies can sometimes not notice you and stealth is a legitimate option.

The graphics and atmosphere are very immersive.
